Broom Finish Concrete

WHAT IS BROOM FINISH CONCRETE?
Broom finishing concrete is done by dragging a finishing broom over its damp surface. Brushing the concrete makes for a rough-textured layer with small, but noticeable grooves. This surface has always been the functional texture of choice for exterior concrete. Such as driveways and sidewalks and stairwells and steps.

BENEFITS OF BROOM FINISH:
As well, Broom Finishing concrete creates a coarse-textured, slip-resistant surface. Moreover, it allows for a unique decorative finish. By brushing the concrete in different directions, continuous decorative shapes can be formed.

Expose Aggregate Concrete

WHAT IS EXPOSED AGGREGATE CONCRETE?
Exposed aggregate looks similar to a piece of raw granite. After pouring the concrete, the decorative stones are ready for exposure. There are several exposure methods concrete contractors can choose from. Depending on the look wanted and size of the undertaking.

Only the top of the stone is exposed while the rest remains embedded in the concrete surface. The goal is to remove the surface concrete. Usually, around 1/3rd of the diameter around the decorative stones. That appearance is in the form of ornamental pebbles, either natural or factory-made.
